About Our Company

Emerald Marine Products Corporation was founded in 1994 by Page Read, PhD to manufacture and market the Alert Man-Overboard Alarm, which Dr. Read invented. The product is manufactured in Seattle, Washington, and sold in marine stores throughout the U.S. It is used aboard recreational sailboats, powerboats, commercial fishing vessels, tugboats, and U.S. Coast Guard Cutters, as well as ashore on major bridge construction projects and dockside loading operations, wherever crew members are at risk of falling overboard.
